Gas is high, but who cares :)

JJ knows the routine - eat, play, eat, play
So today we traveled about 30 miles to our favorite fast food place, Chick-fil-a.  Getting out of the house today was a high priority for me and also a necessity for JJ since he's been cooped up in here all weekend because we've all been sickly.

Before we moved to Mississippi we ate CFA like once or twice a week because we were literally about 5 minutes from 2 of them.  SPOILED.  When I was in the hospital with JJ right after he was born, that's all I wanted.  I love CFA - their food is great, their business practices are about the best there are, and they know how to throw a mean party.  JJ's 3rd bday party was there and I got way more than I paid for.  LOVED it.

I know gas is high, and I know that it probably cost be about $10 to get there and back (I did do some more shopping while I was in the bigger town), but it was worth it.  It was worth seeing my kids have a good time.  It was worth the good food we miss so much.  It was worth the balloons both of them got and actually made it home (until JJ walked in the door, got his scissors and popped it, just because 'he could').

I wish there were more quality establishments like this one in the town we live in.  My kids are going to grow up in a place that doesn't have a CFA.  I'm ok with that - but doesn't mean I quite understand why it has to be this way.  We don't live in a small town by any means, but for some reason our town does not know how to sustain a place like this.  Huh? I don't know.  And really, don't get me started on it.

So, if you're ever get hungry, have kids in tow, and see a CFA, I highly suggest stopping and having a bite.  You will not be disappointed, and most likely will go back.  It was 'my pleasure' referring you :)

MJ getting her first taste of CFA.  I think she approved.
