About Me

I'm a 34yo part-time SAHM of two sweet kiddos: JJ, 5yo and MJ, 2yo and part-time K-4 teacher at a local church. Everything in my life makes things that more interesting. And complicated.

I taught high school and middle school agriculture for 7.5 years before getting the chance to be at home.  I struggle with the unstructured-ness, but like the flexibility and the fun we have usually on a daily basis.

We just moved to Mississippi at the end of 2010 from Delaware.  Total change of pace, food, and weather.  We are adjusting slowly and enjoying being able to try some new things out along the way.  My husband, Brandon, and I are originally from Texas, so we knew somewhat what we were getting ourselves into!

In my free time (what's that?!) I like to blog, sell bags, can and nap.  About every other Sunday I am privileged to play piano as a part of our churches creative worship team. It allows me to forget the stresses of chasing my kid around.

This fall will be big for us - JJ will be starting public school (AHHH!) and we will have a new kiddo join our family.  I'm afraid my free time will be reduced and I'll have to wait another 10 years to enjoy the things I like to do :(  But I guess its well worth it! 

I hope that I inspire you in someway.  I know I'm inspired everyday by something I read or someone I meet.  If nothing else, laugh.  Because I think that's the only way a SAHM can stay sane - just laugh.
