Philadelphia Cooking Creme

Until this point I have never really 'promoted' a product.  I'm not intending to do that here either.  But I thought I would review one that I tried.

Last week I used the Philadelphia Cooking Creme - the Santa Fe kind.  Looking for something fairly easy to do since my parents were here and kids were running around.

Here's what I used:

1 pound chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
salt & pepper
8oz spiral pasta, cooked al dente
10oz frozen corn
1 can diced tomatoes, drained
1 container of Philadelphia Cooking Creme, Santa Fe

I salt & peppered the chicken and then cooked it in a skillet on medium.  I then added the Philadelphia Cooking Creme, corn, and tomatoes and allowed the creme to melt.  When it was sooth and creamy I then added the pasta.  Stir it up and it was a meal.  Not too shabby.  You could get more creative and add black beans and some fresh veggies to make this a really great meal (not that this wasn't a really great meal, but time wise it was quicker than doing those other things.  And I didn't have black beans or I would have added them).

End product.
Paired with some Sister Schubert Parker House Rolls (I WILL endorse these.  Whoa - best rolls out there!!!)

Cost Breakdown:

Chicken: $1.88/pound
Pasta: FREE
Corn: $1.00
Tomatoes: $.65
Cooking Creme: $2.00

Total Cost: $5.53
Cost per person (3 adults, 1 child): $1.38

We also had 2 servings of adult leftovers.  So you really could recalculate this to 5 adult servings and 1 child serving.  Which then turns it out to be $.92/serving!!!  WOW!
